So there seems to be some consensus about which factors complicate a decent
link. It also explains why we Europeans keep bitchin' about ISDN-sync troubles,
while you Americans have to endure HCF and T1-sh*t.

Point being that some people start complaining about the lack of support by
livingston, even though they know they should be happy to get even as much as
19K2 from a line(technology) that hasn't changed much since the early 30's.
Still 20mA current loop, limited to 300-3000Hz, and still (for most users)
analog 'till the nearest switch.

I designed two modems, some 15 years ago, and thus know first handed the amount
of blood, sweat and tears needed for a simple 1200 bps full-duplex link.

Could we just agree that V90 is stretching it to the limit, and often beyond
the limit, and stop bitching about livingston being total shit?
