I'd start with 32MB on a Cisco just for buffer space, etc.

I've got two full views in this:
BGP table version is 4306344, main routing table version 4306344
50996 network entries (101116/152988 paths) using 10529716 bytes of memory
12180 BGP path attribute entries using 1534456 bytes of memory
6826 BGP route-map cache entries using 109216 bytes of memory
0 BGP filter-list cache entries using 0 bytes of memory
Dampening enabled. 127 history paths, 127 dampened paths
