Could be well prepared customers, with their own generators...:)

Hmm. I wouldnt think so. In fact, you dont have to shut off the car,
either. But it sure is safer, what with the fact that your parked atop a
whole lot of fuel...:) And since a lot of the larger generators are
diesel, which is not highly combustable, flash fires are little worry. It
takes intense heat to burn diesel..

I would guess that would depend on lots of things.. The effeciency of the
particular generator, the local price of your chosen fuel, and the cost of
your electricity...

> company costs). How long does one 'tank' of fuel last?? And finally, where do

Again, this depends entirely on the generator itself. We have a LARGE
retired army generator, that we just put back on it's trailer, for the
next time we lose power..(it lives about a block away, but we would not
want to store it at the office..to easy (well, not really, but..) to walk
off..

We got hit last week, and our UPS fritzed on us. Damn thing had 2 dead
cells in it, and only lasted 15 minutes. *sigh*

Outside.:) Your average (aka: old:) diesel generator is going to be
rather loud, too...

Now, depending on the building itself, it is likely that provisions for a
generator we're built in, when the building was built.....Talk to the
building owner. It is not hard to stick one in a basement, and plumb the
exhaust (properly, and to code!) outside....

just my midnight rambling..I oughta go to bed.:)

later...david
