One thing to also check for..... uhm, you _do_ have modems installed
right?

Then what I do when a box is off-line for over 15 minutes is to attach to
sXX
atdt XXXXXXX

to dialout and back in.... strange as it seems for our PRI it resets
something...

then attach to another and at&n1 for a modem call and test...
