If you wanted to go isdn, you could use the 5 port BRI card for the 2e or
use the PM 3 without modem cards.

It can (the R model) but it is intended for the connection to the
upstream. It is limited to 1 sync port. The PM 3 will be expandable to 3
sync ports and it has built in csu/dsu's.
