I see nothing improper. It sounds like you have a PM on perhaps
206.40.43.5 with a netmask of 255.255.255.128. You give the nt box a
static address of 206.40.43.17. No problem there. The PM should proxy
arp for that address. 206.40.44.160/27 is a valid subnet, and you want to
route that to the NT box. I have similar setups, though NT isn't involved
in them.

Our PM is 205.229.48.10 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0. You probably
have a typo somewhere in your settings.

You're not giving the nt box a static address from inside the PM's
assigned pool of addresses, are you? I don't think that's "recommended".
