Not an answer to your question, per se, but some help with TFM: Cisco's
UniverCD is on their WWW page at cio.cisco.com, available to any Cisco
customer who calls them with a contract number. It takes a couple days to
actually get access to the pages, but it's worth the wait, and the docs
will be there for your next problem that needs to be solved.

Try turning on RIP on the cisco: in global config mode `router rip', then
save. Sounds too easy, though.
