(PM) PM3 user having timeout problems

I have a user with a U.S. Robotics Courier, which he has upgraded to 56Kb.
He can connect at 42K, but has trouble downloading anything of any size.

What can I recommend for him? I my PM3 is at OS 3.8.2, and I have only
one incoming PRI.
