Okay so they are running a netbeui AND a tcpip protocol right? And they
have static addresses? And how are they getting the DNS server info? Via
dhcp or is it hard coded in each tcpip stack?

Uninstall all the network protocols from one of the machines. Reinstall
tcpip only, putting in the ip #'s of the dns servers. REboot,try surfing.
THAT should work. If it does NOT, then the router they are connecting to
is filtering dns querries.
