You did turn off the old PM? (sorry I have to ask as I've seen that before).
If something is not clearing the MAC address try using ARP to delete the
entries. Also rebooting the box will clear it. Check the IP address and
Netmask to make sure they are the same. After setting up the PM did you
reboot?
