Ahh.. i didnt realize what platform he is on. Ive had probs withe the
linux version on some boxes, but the win 95 versions seems to work fine.
We have a win 95 box set up specifically to do nothing but upgrade
portmasters, modems, and other unmentionable hardware, like Motorola
Buttsniffer's etc... I recommend only because I know that the pmconsole
for windows works, and there is all that 3com software for windows, and
ascend etc...

Maybe they figure since pmconsole for win 95 works, that there is not
a major problem. Ive had Livingston offer to upgrade for me when I had
these sorts of problems, I assume they would use a version of
pmconsole/install that they knew worked for the unit in question, so at
least the bases are covered.
