Todd--

The message Can't get compression history slot is not an error per se, more
of a warning.
I did talk to one of the engineers, and he said that the fix is in 3.8b15,
so you can upgrade to that version if you like, even though I don't know if
I'd recommend it, since the modem code's not the greatest. So it's up to
you which is more important to you. We should have a b16 release out soon
that will be more stable, if you'd like to wait.
