Keep in mind ADSL was asked about - ADSL is *by definition* asymetrical.

As you noted, that modem is labled HDSL - which is High-speed DSL. HDSL
is symetrical, and up to 1.5Mbps. That unit is porbably actually S-HDSL aka
SDSL. Single-pair HDSL - most 768K units are. Full HDSL normally being
two pair.
