Re: (PM) Some additional news on 3.7.2c3

We're getting the same complaints from a customer who does 'puter upgrades
in customer homes. He is using Zoltrix FMVSP56i and he consistently gets
MUCH better connect speeds from AOHELL than he gets from our PM-3. He
frequently has opportuities to check to the same CO, with the same phone
line, with the same modem, from the same 'puter. He typically gets
connects from AOL in the high fourties and from us in the low to mid
thirties. Kind of embarrassing... My only customer who gets as high as 48K
is a computer store that is two blocks from the CO. I haven't yet issued
the press release required by the upgrade contract, because I couldn't quite
figure how to lie about my great, wonderful, 56K connect speed breakthrough.
I'd rather write something about President Clinton's virginity.
(We're not on 3.7.2c3 yet , but after reading this thread, I'm ready to do
it)

Cheerio, Robie
