First and foremost - we admit it when we goof. SLIP was
unintentionally broken. We're going back to figure out what we did to
break it. It was not an intentional change as some people have
indicated, it was a mistake and we'll fix it as soon as we determine
how we broke it. Which should be rather soon.

Now, some issues with 'lastcall'.

1. It only works with the new modem cards. If you haven't upgraded
yet (WHY? You missed the free upgrade and the old cards are a dead
end!) it won't work. You'll see it go into the LC state, then when
the call is done it goes back into READY. We intend to go back and
make it work on the old cards in the next release of ComOS.

2. If you set lastcall on a modem and then decide not to and do a 'set
m# on', you'll notice the DSP is reset and the user is kicked off.
That is how it has always worked, but then people wouldn't be doing a
'set m# on' on up modems normally. In the next release it will be
more intelligent and if the modem is in lastcall it will just set it
back to the normal state *without* doing a reset. So the user won't
be kicked.

3. On PRI we return a busy signal -"user busy"- if say you've done
last call on a bunch of modems and a modem call comes in. It seems
the telco won't forward on the busy. We're currently investigated the
PRI signalling cause code specs to see if there is something else we
could send which would cause it to skip the channel and roll over. We
don't know if this will be in the next release, but we are actively
looking into it.

And last, a bit of good news that was forgotten in the 3.7.2c3 release
notes. Back in c1 we fixed the last known modem 'DOWN' issue, and
that, of course, is carried forward. So c3 fixes the last of the
known 'DOWN' state issues in ComOS. Since it was very rarely seen
this probably isn't going to impact many people, but it is there.
