Thanks for all those who responded to my Q on assigning static IPs to the
modems. I guess I'll just stick to letting it auto assign the IPs from the
pool for now.
I have a few other Qs on the PM3 and is wondering if anyone can shed any
light to them :-
1) Is there anyway to make the PM3 always assign the IPs based on those
available starting from the beginning of the pool? I noticed that the PM3
seems to keep on increasing the IP number assigned, i.e. the first modem
user gets 1.1.1.1, the next user gets 1.1.1.2 and after the first modem
user logs off, the next user that dialin gets 1.1.1.3 and the number keeps
on increasing.
2) Is there anyway to use SNMP to monitor the number of ports used on the
PM3 at any one time? More specifically is to use MRTG to monitor the
number of ports. I know that MRTG can be used to monitor the number of
ports used on a Cisco AS5201 but what about on a PM3?
