Dunno - works for me (PM2e at ComOS 3.5). N.B. that it only prevents
!root login at the initial login prompt on the serial ports - once
you've established an IP/PPP connection you can of course *telnet* to
the PM from the dialup host (unless prevented by filters) and log in as
!root.
