This question involves a PM3 w/K56flex modems on an AMI/D4 CT1 connected to
a GTD-5 switch in GTE land:
I've been having some of my lines go out-of-service for some unexplained
reason the past few days. The last time it has happened, I asked the GTE
tech for more information about what is happening. He said he was getting
the following error messages on his end:
Inband sending error detected.
Time out awaiting start dial.
Trunk failed tone test.
Does anyone have a clue if the PM3 or the user's modem/equipment can cause
this error? Or could this be the telco switch? We can pin this down to
the second it happens in the GTE logs but I haven't made any correlations
in the RADIUS logs to any particular user.
Regards,
