do a debug on one of the Portmasters to see if it's waiting for the RADIUS
server. Or if something else is timing out...

Now, what is taking 40 seconds to authenticate? MacOS, Win3.1x, Win95,
*nix?

If it's only Win95 you're worried about then look at:

I use that to setup my users and some have gone down from 1 minute to 10
secs... seems those extra 'windows' things slow things down considerably
on the users end.... hehe
