It's been noted that this is normal (unwanted by us ISPs) behavior. What
is happening is the users modem usually doesn't have error correction in
place. So the PPP errors show up... we're all hoping that soon this
behavior will be togglable (sp?).
If you check the modem on that port most likely you'll see a 14400 on a
DIRECT connection...
