As an Internet Service Provider I am disappointed that
you have chosen to implement proprietary methods that
only work with Ascend equipment rather than embracing
open standards such as the already established BAP/BAPC
protocols defined in RFC 2125.

I employ equipment from Lucent Technologies which is not
compatible with your proprietary technology and will remove
Diamond/Supra from our approved list of equipment as I already
have done (many months ago) with USR for similar reasons.

My users pay a *lot* of attention to my modem recommendations
for K56Flex modems and my list of approved modems will now be
reduced to only Zoom and Motorola.

Sincerely,
Don Lashier
