As it was explained to me:

The OR series was designed for a border router... Except for rare
circumstances most people won't even need BGP or OSPF, but its there if
you need them.

Is heap like a 'Ramdisk' or is the 'heap' the flash ram?

That'd be icky, though it may be required in the future. Is there any
chance of a true ROM upgrade for the PM2 if comos needs it, or is the
size hardwired?
