This really belongs on portmaster-users:

Once upon a time Tom T. Thai shaped the electrons to say...
>I've got another strange thing happening here. I have my assigned address
>for the PM3's ip pool to start at 204.130.134.160. There are 24 digital
>modems in this PM3. And I thought that PM3 only allocated the # of IPs by
>the # of modems. So in this case, the highest IP I should see for any
>user is 204.130.134.183. But look below:

No, it is not based on the number of modems. It is based on the number
of ports. And if line1 is configured to have S# ports - even if it
is not in use - these will be counted.

Solutions:
1. Set line1 as a leased line.
or
2. 'set pool #' where number is the number of IPs you want in the pool.
