Lets look at the BOOK. Ahh.. they are using the EIA/TIA 568-B
specification which says that 1=Ring 1 and 2=Tip for receive and 4= Ring
2 and 5=Tip 2 for Transmit data, so this means the corresponding T-R pairs
ARE twisted (as they should be) so this is Korrekt.
I remember in the olden days, we didnt get an RJ-48C, and had to wire it
ourselves, from a 4 pole terminal block.
Id put T1=4 R1=5 and T2=3 and R2=6 and use Non twisted flat
cable, and things were fine. This was for 9.6 sync leased lines.
