I have a motorola 56k modem and at my office it connects at 44k, but when
one of my employees takes it home it can't connect faster than 26.4. For
one customer this modem works great, but another customer is having the
same problem. The stupid thing retrains 2 times before it actully
connects. It trys to connect at flex speeds, but then it just dies. I
have the extra settings set at both the office and employees
home(&fs202=32). I'm going to try a different modem there today to see if
it a telco issue or just the modem. Anyone have any other suggestions???
