Well the actual check is done by launching an external program. At the
moment it's a simple perl script, that uses snmpget to query the PM3.
For the linux terminal server, it simply uses finger.. You have to have
the misc/pmfingerd.pl from the portslave source installed as fingerd,
but otherwise it works OK.
In the /etc/raddb/naslist file you define for each terminal server what
type it is. So say you have a 5200 as terminal server and it is possible
to query it by SNMP or finger or whatever, it's simply a manner of adding
a Cisco query mothod to the perl script...
Since the perl script is only called a couple of times a day (rest of the
time the radius utmp file is reasonably correct) there is no performance hit.
