Im not sure why. In that respect, assigning an IP address to an OR-U
should be the SAME as assigning an address to a PM2e30. Having said that,
I have NEVER used the "new portmangler" option in PMINSTALL.

Maybe cuz its a new "PORTMASTER" and an OR is not a portmaster.
Id use pmconsole.

Dip 2 up: rarp or tftp boot from the network. Dip 2 down is normal boot
from the flesh rom.

Set dip 2 up, stop the rarping, set the address and netmask, tftp boot a
GENERIC.OR? image, then use pmconsole. Its more fun.
