bootp from pminstall

I want to use the "new portmaster" option on my pminstall to assign an ip to
an office router -- but don't see any info in any doc to do this.

I've done it b4 on pm30's, but it ain't working now --

Any pointers to information -- or suggestions on why it ain't going?

One specific question is -- does the dip switch 2 need to be up? I'm not trying
to boot the os, just the IP.

(i know, I COULD do it the easy way by attaching a console -- but why ISN'T
this working?)
