Re: PM3 act any better with ISDN than 5BRI/OR-U?

If my lines are nailed up, they stay up also. If the line is on-hook,
or if NYNEX is doing some maintenance is when I'm having trouble.
It's also clear that 5BRI's and such work most of the time, otherwise
Livingston would be out of business, and they're not (they're growing).

But whatever procedures the local CO is using on our lines is causing
the ISDN lines to wedge. I can't say that it does or doesn't happen
elsewhere in NYNEX-land or any other telco, I know that it happens
here, and Livingston hasn't said boo about it.

There are other people on the list that experienced the same problems.
With no guidance from LE or telco, I've pulled isdn lines from the router
and 5BRI, without having the line "come back". The only things that
work are "reset <dchannel>", and failing that, reboot the box, and if
that fails, power cycle the box. Still no word from LE.

I would expect a 5BRI to be hardened against most line problems, and I
would even accept that they aren't hardened against all line problems.
But I wouldn't expect them to remain silent on the issue, not even
trying to direct a debugging effort. Hell, *they* haven't even pointed
a finger at the telco. JUST SILENCE.

So I have to poll the list for people that have lived with the 5BRI
problem, and ask if any such "blessed" people had the courage to get a
PM3, and if so, are they trouble free, or are they having similar
problems.
