That isn't the point.
There is X2 client side (takes POTS) and X2 server side (takes a digital
line - BRI, PRI, chanT1).
To get X2 you MUST have a server side modem talking to a client side.
Client side to client side the max theoretical is 33.6 with v.34bis - but
I've heard reports that they don't seem to like that too much.
