That area is quite subjective according to the new laws. Encouragement
could be considered the fact that he emailed it to several hundred people
in an unsolicited manner. Couldn't that be called encouragement?

Anyway, so I dont get spammed. I would like to add this interesting PM 2
info:

The network card in the PM 2 is IRQ 7, IO 300 and mem D000. This
information is via Chuck Varnay of Livingston. I hope its okay Im telling
you this. This information might help those with OLDER PM 2's with the
generic network cards. (2 piece lower board). Those serial numbers would
be probably under 11500.

I have discovered that with the NEWEST comos and REV G rom, the OS will
somtimes incorrectly report this card as a 64k BURST IO card. I have not
been able to nail down WHY it does it on some units and not on others.

I am experimenting with using DIFFERENT Ethernet cards in the OLDER PM 2's
to see if I get better/worse results.

BTW... I do NOT recommend that you do this especially if you unit is still
under warranty. Taking out the network card is a pretty heavy duty
disassembly of the unit.

I'm just a tinkerin' fewl!

Also, for infoz on the PM 11, please see ftp://ftp.ams.com/pub/livingston.

For more infoz on cloning fonez, see http://www.2600.org altho I am NOT
encouraging you in ANY WAY to clone fonez! ;-)
