Yup. Since you're connecting into a SYNCHRONOUS data port, you won't be
able to read or use the output.

You must set the B*ttsurfr to PPPC mode and use a PPP stack to dial in and
use PAP to authenticate. You can't use a script or terminal mode.

Works like a champ.
