As you can see, the first couple sort of just die. The third almost makes it and the fourth worked fine.
I've gone over his setup a number of times and it all sounds fine (from what you can get someone to admit to from 80 miles away). He's running Windows 95, has 'logon to network' turned off in the config and only TCP/IP enabled (the two areas that I find normally cause this sort of problem). I've also played around with various Zoom init strings that I found, but still nothing.
For what it's worth, he told me that his last provider had an Ascend box and he had no problems connecting to them at all.
Anyhow, this problem has taken a big chunk out of my day and if I don't get any help it will probably take tomorrow as well (unless this guy gets pissed off and quits). So if anyone can read the above debugging info and clue me in on what's wrong I would really appreciate it.
