ISPs

I've been reading all of the "ISP's In Trouble?" posts, and agree
with the idea of banding ISP's together. There is no way that
singulary we can fight of the Bell's, PUC, etc. but as a collective
group, we could fight this proposed nightmare. Face it, if this goes
through, the mom and pop ISP will die. It's not even just the ISP's,
everyone, lastly the consumer (you and me) will lose.

This morning I had a meeting with a man that works for a group fights local,
state, and national issues. This group just handily defeated 6
propositions in California and 2 in Oregon, while losing ZERO. This
group doesn't mess around. They can handle the whole thing from
fund-raising, lobbying, etc.

What they want from me is to show legimate interest from ISP's and
others that will be affected by this change. Please feel free to
e-mail me directly (not the group), with your ideas, suggestions,
concearns, etc.

If enough of you respond, we will form an organization and hopefully
put this down before it's already over. I will tell more to those
that respond, and I hope that you all do.

thanks (sorry for those that don't care),
