What state is shown on the front of the modem? Check and make sure that
they have TR, which seems to disappear now and again. Along with all kinds
of fun and weird things the betas are doing.

Are you plugging this in the modem table on the PM? Don't think you can get
away with the multiple '/r^OK' in that case. At least it didn't work the
few times that I tried it. The &C1&K3&Q5 are default values.

If they don't clear up after a P/C, then reinit the modem. Try for 65-70
with good airflow and see if you can stand them on end.

What ROM version are you using? (Diamond MM and Supra are having a betathon)
