Dial in / ppp sessions...

Greetings!

After several bottles of aspirin, many *un*returned calls and email to
Livingston support (hint hint), three days of the green screen and one
very mangled User's manual, I find it necessary to humble myself and ask for
HELP!

I have a Linux box and a PM2eR. Both telnet, ping, etc. eachother. No
prob. there. And, I can fully access the commands for the PM. However,
I can not get a login session started and from my notes, I have (obviously
not) tried every conceivable configuation. I can only get the modems to
talk and then nothing else happens, except many "unable to connect..."
messages in the sys logs.

I wish to have ip's assigned dynamically to each user when they call in (I
set the assigned pool already) and then the user's table entry should
dictate either ppp or slip, etc., etc.

If anyone has some suggestions as to how to get the login session going
(I should be able to dial out from Linux to a number hooked to the PM), I
will be greatly appreciative.

TIA!!!
