3com 3c503 adapter

I know that this isn't a Livingston question, but the card is for use in a
Livingston supported LAN, so.....

The 3c503 8 bit card (BNC) performs all of 3com's diagnostic tests just
fine. However, when I go to load the driver, I get the message:

"shared RAM on 3c503 card is defective or there is an address conflict"

followed by

"**packet driver failed to initialize the board**".

I don't have a manual for this card. Any ideas?
