I take pride in my work too, but I learned long ago to ignore
rants and attacks. I take pride in my work, I know that I'm doing a
good job, I have hundreds of happy customers. If one asshole rants and
complains if I don't ignore it then the level of support I can provide
to my happy customers goes down. If I don't ignore it then I go
insane.
It took a while to learn to ignore the insults and attacks,
but I think it is necessary.
