Description |
pm2-initial-config.txt |
This is the
initial configuration we use at Portmasters.com to set up and test
portmaster 2 series servers. It works for the PM2, PM2e and PM25. It is an
editable text file, which you can restore into your portmaster using
PMVision. This is NOT a full default configuration. To go to default,
you should use "erase config" then "reboot" from a serial console.
This configuration assumes you are connecting modems. It
contains a sample modem setup, a sample text user and a sample PPP netuser.
|
pm3-initial-config.txt |
Same as
above except this is for Portmaster 3 series servers.
|
pm2-console-server-config-extension.txt |
This is a configuration
extension which you can restore to your portmaster after you have configured
the ethernet and global settings. It is not a full configuration. It
configures the serial ports for console service at 9600 bps. It maps each
serial port to a tcp port (6000-6029). Please edit this file and change the
default ip to the IP you assign to the ethernet port of your portmaster. |
pm2-secure-console-server-config-extension.txt |
This is a configuration
extension which you can restore to your portmaster after you have configured
the ethernet and global settings. It is not a full configuration. It
configures the serial ports like the above script, except that it uses
secure TCP Ports 10000-100029. Using these ports requires a user to telnet
to the portmaster directly, then log in as a specific user, which is mapped
to a specific serial port. User out0 maps to S0, out1 maps to S1, etc.
Please edit this file and change the default ip to the IP you assign to the
ethernet port of your portmaster. |
Management/Upgrade Tools
Note: Most of are Windows Java Programs that will download with
their own runtime. Windows 2000 and XP users having problems running these Java
apps should install the most current Java Runtime and use it instead of the Java
that comes with our distributions.
