(PM) mib definitions for pmstatus

I am using a script called pmstatus which has inside the script an
snmpwalk command checking for the following on several different pm3s.

Invalid object identifier:
.iso.org.dod.internet.private.enterprises.livingston.livingstonMib.livingstoninterfaces.livingstonserial.livingstonserialtable.livingstonserialentry.livingstonSerialPortStatus

The snmpwalk command does seem to work, but does not recoginize the
livingston object ids.

I have the livingston.mib downloaded but the snmp does not recognize it.
I seem to recall that the mib definitions had to be installed either in
a certain subdirectory or an environment variable had to be setup to
point to it. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
