I am suprised that more people arent writing into this list to
complain. Is everyone content to run the bogus beta 3.8.2 ?
Anytime I upgrade a terminal server to 3.8.2, the complaint calls
just roll in, users cant connect, users get dropped, etc.
Apparently there may not be a way to obtain modem cards which work
with 3.8 anymore, forcing everyone using new modems to run 3.8.2,
which is bullshit.
How the hell can a company get away with selling hardware that wont
run on anything except software that isnt officially supported?
Lucent has not informed solunet, (and probably the rest of their
distribution channels) of the incompatibility between the new cards
and 3.8.
The modems I had trouble with were 'A' software revsion, 9845 on the
xilinx card. They would hang on 'INIT', all modems on the card.
