OK I just found a damned good reason for renumbering the ports. I've got
what appear to be some bad channels on one or more of my eight T1s, and I
want to find them by running some statistics on my log files to tell me if
any ports are seeing substantially less usage than others. Unfortunately,
what I end up with is an overlay of the counts for ports 0-95 on both
slots, making it *much* more difficult to see what's really going on.
