Huh? The only time it will ever go to a serial port is if console is
set there. Either you have to be directly connected to the serial port
and 'set console' or do a 'set console s#' from the command line for it
to point to a serial port. If debugging is left on any input is going to
'console' so it will go where console last was - and unless it was aimed at
a serial port, that'd be the telnet interface.
