Lucent,

Please don't rush things like your competitors. I have heard very little
that was good about their V.90 ordeals. I, for one, would rather wait for
good code than crap. The term "beta" should not be new to folks on this
list... gripping about your financial woes after relying on a beta is just
plain stupid. I understand that people may have picked up their PM3s before
V.90 was an issue, hence the frustration. However, it still isn't a
"standard" and ISPs should know better than to let their competitors snow
their clients. If you take a leadership role in your respective regions and
inform the public that all is not what it seems, they will likely wait for
the right code when it arrives. You'll also come off as the experts and
this will build a more loyal customer base. Have some of your preferred
customers post information to your web sites about how they respect your
position - this is really quite easy when you think of it... Let's face it,
90% of the clients out there couldn't tell you what V.90 means, just that it
is better... for some reason. Fill in the blanks for these people and
they'll respect you for it in the long run.

Just my $0.02 worth...

Mike
