We're using PAP so we have them set up pppd with a chat script that simply
dials the modem and waits for the login prompt. After that, their end
should fire up pppd and send the username and password through PAP.
They'll need to have a /etc/ppp/pap-secrets file on their machine with
their username and password in it.
