(PM) testing database for enduser modems

This is probably an obvious idea that exists somewhere, if so please
tell me where...

Does anyone think it would be worthwhile to compile data on
enduser client modems and put it in a web based database?
Something like www.56k.com, only condensed into 1 web page,
and only deal with pm3 specific connections, which would ask you for
the following info:

1) ati0 and ati3 codes from the modem, perhaps the fcc codes too
2) brand and model of enduser modem
3) firmware revision of the enduser modem
4) firmware revision of the pm3 being called

and then spit out:

1) a list of suggested init strings that people have had success with
2) the firmware upgrades/downgrades available for the enduser modems, along
with notes on the pros and cons of each
3) a general comments section for the modem

If the web based database had a web page submission for new data,
perhaps the whole thing could be setup to be maintanance free.
Before long, it would identify the best modems to recommend to end
users.

It could also database frequently asked questions, and frequently
found bugs and problems, which could be sorted out and delivered to
livingston with the problems prioritized by how many people were
affected, and the severity of the problem.

I can provide testing data, but not the web based database.
