This should be taken to portmaster-radius.

Once upon a time pm2e@digigate.net shaped the electrons to say...
>I intent to move a pm2e auth to a radius server on linux redhat
>4.2. I would like to use the /etc/passwd file. My question is

Fine.

>that i have a some accounts on the server that I only want
>to provide them with email service and NO dialup services.
>How will the PM2e recognize this ?? I suppose of the shell eyy ??

I presume they have some other way of connecting to the mail server -
other than dialing in?

Put them in a UNIX system group, like 'mailonly' and then do this at the
top of the RADIUS users file:

DEFAULT Auth-Type = Reject, Group = "mailonly"

Bam, they cannot login via your NAS.

>and in the next future i will moving to shadow !! will radius
>recognize this too immediatly ??

RADIUS supports shadow passwords, yes.
