"I'm trying to connect at a speed greater than 28800 with both my 56K
modems. I'm using a Hayes Accura 56K+Fax (upgradable) as well as a USR 56K
X2. Both yield a 288 connection to the McKinney POP at 542-5454. I'm able
to connect with Internet America at 42 - 48K with the Hayes and never get a
connect below 50,666 with the X2 calling AT&T Worldnet."
