Ports correspond to particular services available on a TCP/IP server;
port 80 is HTTP, port 25 is SMTP, and so on. I am not familiar with
any ping programs which test the specific port; usually, I'll test
to see if a port's active with telnet, which supports specifying a
specific port to test to.
Now, a Portmaster has an extremely limited number of services it provides;
I believe the only ports it will respond on are 27 (the telnet port) and
the PMConsole port (I forget the number). Other than that, no, it won't
support a service on port 94.
What's that supposed to be, anyway? I don't know that one.
