Once upon a time Mike Phillips shaped the electrons to say...
>We have a radius server that likes to die.....while working on the problem
>we noticed something real weird...the PM2-ER is set for an alternate server
>as well as a primary. When the primary dies, the secondary is not
>authenticating...setting the secondary to primary "corrects" the problem!

Are you running a current ComOS - 3.7.2?

If both the primary and secondary are set, the PM should start trying the
secondary after 2 failed attempts (6 seconds) to the primary. You can run
'radiusd -x' to show all the of the packets the RADIUS servers are receiving.
And on the PM you could set a filter for UDP ports 1645 and 1646 and
'ptrace [filter] extended' to see the packets going out.
